Wordy Wednesday: His Clubhouse

Wordy Wednesday: His Clubhouse

Little A has three older siblings, two of which are girls and these two girls love their older brother to make them fortresses and such. By this I mean they beg SoccerBoy to hang their beautiful pink sheets and blankets from one door to the next in the hallway, they then take their bigger blankets and make a very soft bedding area and have their party. Normally this is done with little saucers with cookies and milk and teddy bears and dolls all lined up.
SoccerBoy doesn’t mind placing the sheets up but he says no thanks on playing the game. …read more

Wordy Wednesday: The Baby Hugs

Don’t get me wrong I love to get hugs but this one just made me want to hug him all day. For some unknown reason he got the blues and just laid in my arms like this most of the day on Monday. Now I knew his sister would be feeling like this because she got her shots, but for him, he never got them. Either way, I quickly curled into him and he fell asleep soon after this.
Isn’t it amazing how they can be happy and content one moment and the next they are all emotional? Just shows how …read more

Wordy Wednesday: He’s Cool

Wordy Wednesday: He’s Cool

It’s another Wednesday, which means we post our “Wordy Wednesday” photos for you. This past weekend we stopped off at our local IHOP and got ourselves some yummy breakfast. As you can
see in the picture it was still dark but we had to do some shopping before leaving town, which meant an EARLY breakfast. For some reason they had the cooler on and people were inside wearing jackets, course since it is summer we don’t have those in the car. So we had to suck it up, the girls curled into me for body heat as they said and the …read more

Wordy Wednesday: The Slide

How many of you have a child that absolutely loves the slide? I had three babies that loved the slide and a fourth that was terrified. Thinking of the slide reminds me of my
first child’s 1st slide, he was just about to turn 2 so we got him his own little one. Course it was small enough that we could have it in the house or outside, which made it great when the weather was bad. But I remember he’d just sit on the top of that slide and read books, or pretend to anyways. Today, even though he’s 12 …read more

Wordy Wednesday: Pool Baby

Wordy Wednesday: Pool Baby

Yep, we got a swimming pool for the summer and as you can see the kids are just loving it. But we can’t seem to keep it up, it is suppose to be much bigger but I think it is leaking tons of water out of the little pump, not sure why. Any thoughts?
As you can see he was getting cold by this point but he sure was having fun with his two sisters. So since he is definitely a water boy I picture many hot summery days out in the yard. What do you think? Happy WW!

Wordy Wednesday: Missing Daddy

Wordy Wednesday: Missing Daddy

For the past week Little A has been doing what a lot of military children deal with…a missing daddy. No, his daddy isn’t overseas but
in military training, which for this little guy means daddy went away for work and hasn’t come home yet. While he has got to talk with him on the phone just about every night he seems to be struggling a bit with missing his favorite person. Thankfully we found our “Daddy Doll” from when their daddy did go to Iraq for the Marines and I had it made for the kids to hug when they missed …read more

Wordy Wednesday: Ice Cream Day

Wordy Wednesday: Ice Cream Day

With summer here…..just around the corner and kids getting out of school it only means one thing and that’s how to stay cool. One way is to have fun in the water, which kids love to do. Another is staying indoors with the air conditioner blowing or fans on. But my most favorite one of all is this……
….eating ice cream. I swear this little boy knows just the right flavors to get too. Course he isn’t really picky but he tends to somehow end up with everyone’s flavor down his little tummy. This picture was taken one day before the …read more

Wordy Wednesday: Graduation

Wordy Wednesday: Graduation

Yesterday I touched on this topic over at Blisstree Parenting. My son, he’s 12 just graduated from the 6th grade yesterday. He’s actually the oldest baby, yes I said baby, I think every mom still looks at each child as one of her babies. Am I right? You can still recall the day you brought them home, those first worrisome nights when you constantly checked to make sure their breathing was normal and they were still with you in the middle of the night. You may not admit it, but there are times, even as they get older that you’ll …read more

Momma’s Coffee Break Friday

Momma’s Coffee Break Friday

Can you believe it is Friday already? I bet many of you have weekend plans in honor of Memorial Day. How many of you will be traveling during the holiday or having a BBQ? We will definitely have a BBQ, in fact we did one just last night and plan another this Sunday. I can’t wait.
My own baby is going through the “Me” stage but not as the “it’s mine.” For example, I brought out two chairs and he claimed one, “Me” and sat in it. Another time he asked me something using “me” in reference to him. …read more

Wordy Wednesday: The Birds Fly

Wordy Wednesday: The Birds Fly

For the past month I’ve been showing you pics of eggs and such on here. Two weeks ago I showed you those eggs, from our front porch, finally hatched and out came these tiny little birds with barely any feathers. We’ve taken peeks at them every few days just to see, but we don’t stay long as the momma is heard chirping at the bottom of our stairs.
Today, I got to watch one of the birds take their first flight. Woo hoo! She/he didn’t get far but they’ve never used their wings, she/he made it across the street. The momma …read more
