Talking to Your Baby

EVer wonder how many words you say to your baby in a day? Did you know it is important to talk with your baby? There’s a new device out there called, “Lena” which stands for Language ENvironment Analysis.

The Power of Talk Study shows the best thing a parent can do is talk with their children, this includes babies. Many times a parent will talk baby talk and not use real words. However, those that are talked to a lot and with real words do better at test scores and actually become smarter.

Counts words he hears and at the end of the day you can discover how many words you said to him. This is a device you plug into your computer and it’ll make graphs on how many words used. No, you can’t cheat it either, after all why would you.

Read, Sing or just talk with your child. It doesn’t matter if you tell them about the room they are in or about what you two have done throughout the day. Even moms and dads outside the home can come home and tell them what they did or saw during the day.

According to the reports a baby should hear 17-30,000 words a day is the best bet. Oh and over 9 million by the time they are 3-years-old. What was the last thing you said to your baby?

Interesting. I talk to my kids a lot. I talk to Max a lot and I don’t even know if he has any idea what I am saying to him.

I always wonder what it feels like to say 15,000 words a day. Do I do this naturally or do I only say 1,000 a day? I don’t know! I hope I say enough to my kids!
