Teen Delivers own Baby and Jogs to Hospital

I’m sure by now you’ve heard about the California Teen that gave birth in her shower. If you haven’t, the 17-year-old teen hid the fact that she was pregnant from her parents because she was afraid they’d kick her out. Which also meant she never went to get checked out and when the time came she felt the baby coming and her quick thinking actually saved her son’s life.

Xochitl Parra, the new teen mom, was taking a shower, felt strong contractions. She could feel his head, she sat down and pushed, letting him easily slide out on the floor.

Once the baby was born she wrapped him up and half walks, half jogged four blocks to the closest hospital. Why didn’t she call 9-1-1 because they didn’t have a working phone and didn’t want to wake neighbors. Poor thing.

At the hospital the staff noticed she was still attached to the baby and took immediate action. As for her parents, they are more than happy about the outcome.

When I heard this story I was shocked. I feel so bad for that young girl. I can’t believe she didn’t wake anyone up but then again she must have felt so alone to begin with not to have trust in the neighbors.
