The bad news is that it was one of those flights. I bought tickets from Air Canada because they’d been so helpful and friendly toward us in the past. Unfortunately, the flight turned out to be operated by Lufthansa, Germany’s national carrier and they were horrible. I am not sure what kind of psychotic check-in clerk puts a child and a mother with an infant in the middle of the aisle, but I know it takes a terrible cabin crew to make that mother stare at the back of the only empty seat on the flight for almost 9 hours.
