Baby Found in Possibly Stolen Items in Car

Police were called about a suspicious vehicle in the area possibly containing stolen items. When they arrived on scene they spotted a couple in a car, a few minutes later the lady got out and walked towards a house.

A little infant girl was found hidden amongst two strollers and a toy, in the backseat of the car. No clue if the mom would’ve told police she’d been there or where mom had disappeared to as that part isn’t made clear. The woman was arrested and is now being charged with child abandonment.

A few minutes later the man was arrested. No clue why they’d just leave their child unless they did not realize there was someone watching them and they just left her in the car during burglaries. EEek. Scary thought.

KXII reports:

Police early Monday arrested a man and woman on complaints of receiving and concealing stolen property. The infant’s mother also faces an additional complaint of child abandonment.

Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow says an officer first spotted the car parked illegally on the wrong side of the street. Two people were inside the vehicle, but the officer saw the woman walk away from the car toward a house.

Wardlow says a 7-month-old baby girl was later discovered in the back seat of the car, covered by two strollers and a large toy.

Hopefully the baby was being taken care of. It was never mentioned if the baby was inside a carseat or on the back seat.

Missing Florida Baby

Shannon Lea Dedrick is only 7-months old and it is believed she went missing after her parents put her to bed. But sometime during the following morning when they came to check in on her she was gone.

There are rumors swirling the family had posted online they’d buried her, others were they were being investigated by DCF. While none of us would like to think any of this is true it is a possibility, but remember folks it is a POSSIBILITY, not 100% someone still could’ve taken her.

One neighbor did report seeing a van pull up late Saturday, however no one knows anything else. Shannon’s mother started knocking on doors shortly after she searched her own home to make sure her baby wasn’t there.

Currently not much as far as details are being released, instead it seems to be tight lipped. If you actually see baby Shannon there is a phone number to reach out to let authorities know: 638.6111.

Jaeli Still Needs Breastmilk

Earlier this month it was announced on both Facebook and Twitter that a newborn baby was born with a very rare eating disorder. There was a shout-out for anyone willing to help.

What was it? Baby Jaeli was allergic to just about anything she could eat and would need a supply of breastmilk, but her mother couldn’t supply the amount needed.

Facebook and Twitter jumped up to the cause letting everyone know about the situation and it has now been announced that 60 complete strangers have donated breastmilk. By the way, it costs $4.25 per ounce of breastmilk from the Human Milk Banking Association of North America. Jaeli needs 30 ounces a day and the insurance companies are fighting this. Friends and strangers rallied together in order to start a new cause, “Jaeli’s Milk” and within the first few hours had collected just over $1000, to date they have just over $3000 and it is still going strong.

5 Ways to Save Money with a Baby

Having a baby is one of life’s biggest blessings, but having a baby doesn’t mean breaking the bank. There are many easy ways to save money.

1) Don’t give into the hype. Just walking down the aisles of a baby store is enough to give you a headache. There are so many gadgets and gizmos out there. Your baby doesn’t need all of that stuff. Talk to friends and ask them which items were most beneficial to them.

2) Shop used. I’ve heard of some parents that won’t buy their children anything used and I really don’t understand why. You can shop consignment stores, thrift stores, and even yard sales to find nice clothing and accessories for your baby. Why would you want to pay $20 for a baby outfit that will only be worn a few times? Because of recalls, you should use caution with buying used equipment.

3) Breastfeed your baby. This can save you over $1000 in the baby’s first year. If you’re not able to exclusively breastfeed, then try to supplement as much as possible.

4) Shop for neutral baby equipment and clothing. I can understand wanting some pink clothes and hair bows, but your baby doesn’t need everything to be pink. There’s no need in spending $200 on a pink carseat and stroller that your next child won’t be able to use.

5) Use coupons and shop sales. Many stores run sales on diapers. If you combine a sale with a coupon, you can save several dollars on each pack of diapers.

Couple that Sold Baby Now Go to Trial

Angela Schmidt is currently facing trial after carrying a baby and giving it up, apparently she was suppose to be a surrogate mother.

However, instead of using the mother’s donor sperm she decided to use her own husband’s to conceive the child. She sold the baby to a Missouri woman until authorities discovered the adoption was NOT legal. You know she is now claiming she thought the entire thing was completely legal, sorry but when did selling a baby become legal? Yes when you put the child up for adoption and go through lawyers but not when you get yourself pregnant with your husband’s child. She now faces $6000 fine and trial. If found guilty she and David, her partner, could face 6 years in prison and a bigger fine of $10,000. I guess we’ll see how the judge finds her. Do you think she should get in trouble for this?
