Amber Alert for Missouri Baby

An Amber Alert has been released for an 8-month-old baby boy was stolen from his family home in Carthage, Missouri, when two masked men broke in at 11pm Thursday night and beat up his father. I know many are going to suspect this to be a parental abduction, however the mom was actually working that night and the other child was never harmed.
Eddie Salazar is an 8-month-old baby boy with dark hair, dark brown eyes. It is being stated that he has a lung-shaped birthmark on his right arm.
Carthage Press reports:

Babylune’s Weekend Chat

What’s going on this week in your home? This week we’ve had some slight computer issues, which meant I couldn’t log on at all to do work, college, etc. We are also once again trying the whole potty chair our and I’ve went to bribing my son. “If you poop in the potty I’ll make brownies.” So far no brownies.
I was able to get all three of my older children potty trained long before this, the longest one though was trained by the time they turned 3….he turns three next month. Think we can do it? Any tips …read more

3 Cute Burp Cloth Sets Under $25

Two of my three kids were big with the spitting up. All. The. Time. I learned to keep a cloth diaper or small hand towel close, in order to clean up quickly and save my clothing. I’m happy to say that “burp cloths” come in much cuter designs and patterns than they used to. Here are a few that I found at Etsy.

NY Baby has Confirmed Case of Measles

Nassau county health have confiremed that a 12-month-old baby on Long Island has a case of the measles. They want everything to take this seriously, not ignore it. While the baby’s name or names of the parent are not being
released it has been announced that the baby (and family) recently flew internationally when they went to visit Ireland. The trip was during the time the baby was contagious and anyone that may have come in contact with it could in fact have the measles.
NBC New York:
The toddler visited various locations in Hempstead and Garden City between January 21 and January 26. According to the county …read more

The Grandson of the Japanese Prime Minister was born in Moscow on Thursday.  Currently no stats have been released, just that it is his son’s (Yukio Hatoyama) baby.

Babylune’s Weekend Chat

It’s FRIDAY! How many of you will be going out this weekend? Now how many of you will be going out without a little one with you? I think it is funny how we change once we have kids but at the same time it shows us that we can be
without them and still love them when we get the chance to go out. I don’t go out much so don’t attack me on that, in fact it took me almost 13 years to actually date my husband again.  I just had to wait until I knew someone that was …read more

Soothing an Earache

He tossed and turned all night long, tugging at his ear and not being able to sleep through the night. Ear pain is not something unheard of, actually according to Dr. Doug Carlson every child by the age of three will have at least one ear infection.  What’s a mom/dad to do?
Home Remedies to sooth an earache: (assuming it is just pain and NOT an infection)
-  toddlers can be given Tylenol and children’s Motrin (the piggy back style)
-  Apply a heating pad (make sure it is on low and monitor it) to the bad ear. We like heating a washcloth …read more
