Update on Amber Alert

A Crime Blog for Texas showed us the items police got:
Here’s what police say they seized:
Red bath towel
Stained baby outfit “Gerber onesies” from kitchen pantry trash
White “George Stretch” Ladies XS shirt
fitted sheet from bed “Queen Mainstays” brand w/ Red stains
blanket comforter
Pillow case
“Graco” crib mattress pad from crib
“Graco” crib frame
Pillow case
Pink baby bath towel “Carters child of Mine”
“Graco” car safety seat
Baby blanket, yellow and blue, “Dolly” brand
The mother is claiming that the father tossed (dumped) little Daisja’s body into Lake Lewisville the day after she was reported missing. After reading the affidavit, it sounds more like an accident that happened while giving her a bath. (but I could be wrong)
According to the affidavit: Creagh said on June 8, Weaver picked her up from work, but the child was not with him that day. Creagh asked Weaver where the baby was, and he said he had bathed the child and left her home alone. When they arrived back at their apartment, Creagh told police, she found the child’s lifeless body wrapped in a towel on the floor.
The affidavit says that when Creagh asked Weaver what had happened to the child, he became threatening and violent towards her. She tried to call police, it says, but he stopped her and told her they had to “stick together” and tell police the child had been kidnapped.
I must admit I never fully believed, but I had hoped this little girl was out there and would be brought to safety. The break-in sounded weird to me and during the interview she didn’t cry when discussing her missing child, she only said they were looking in the wrong places.

A newborn baby boy, only a few hours old, was found in a grassy area in Lewis Center, Ohio this past Tuesday. The tiny infant was found right off the

Here’s what the caller said to the police:
“I just found a newborn baby on the side, like in the grass, when I was driving to work and I don’t know what to do,” the woman told the 911 dispatcher.
“Can you tell approximately how old the child is?” the dispatcher asked.
“I have no idea. Small, not scary small, but new,” the woman said.
Investigators said they believed the infant was no more than a few hours old, 10TV’s Glenn McEntyre reported.
“The baby had no clothing, wasn’t wrapped in anything and still had the umbilical cord attached,” said Delaware County Sheriff Walter Davis.
Paramedics speculated that the infant may not have survived lying there for another hour, Kocot reported.
The child was found just 100 yards from a day care center.
Currently they have no clue who the mother or father is of this child, any tips would be helpful. The baby boy is expected to make a full recovery, even though it was dropped off during one of the hottest points of the day.

A 9-month-old little girl was kidnapped from her Texas home on June 10, 2009 and police have no clues to go off of. The mother of 9-month-old, Daisja Weaver,

Here’s a description of tiny Daisja from ScaredMonkeys:
Daisja is black and has black hair and brown eyes. She weighs about 20 pounds and is about 2 feet, 4 inches long. She was last seen wearing a red hoodie.
Another report stated she was last seen wearing a diaper and purple clothes. I’m not sure if that meant pants/shorts/dress/skirt/sleeper/etc. There was a delay in the Amber Alert because neither father or mother have the same story, however there is a missing child out there that needs our help bringing her home.
If you see this little girl please call police at 214-671-4268 or 214-671-4250.
Dallas Police have announced that there is now a $10,000 reward in any information that leads to this little girl’s safe return.
A Friend of Mother of Abandoned Baby Speaks

A male friend of the mother that abandoned her baby in a hotel room is speaking out on the mother’s behalf. He claims she did the right thing so she wouldn’t get arrested. Ummm, I’m still not convinced leaving the newborn is/was the right thing. You read what CBS3 found out:

IMG: Sxc.hu
“I’m the one that gave birth to her baby. I was there from first to last and know she didn’t abandon the baby,” said Julio Reyes. He was with her when she gave birth to a baby girl Friday night at the Welcome Inn, in West Springfield.
“She left it with someone responsible, but I can’t say who.”
He says Anderson has been staying with him in Holyoke since just after she gave birth. Reyes says she didn’t go to police because she already had a warrant out for her arrest. “All I know is she did what was right for her not to get into trouble,” said Reyes. But it is not what was right for her newborn, as police charged her with infant abandonment and reckless endangerment. She did not resist when police arrested her Thursday morning. “Police came, knocked on the door, I thought it was a friend. I let them in and they arrested her.”
What do you think? Could the warrants have also prevented her from giving birth in a hospital? The baby is reportedly in good condition.
Update on Newborn Baby Found in Box

There’s been a slight update on the Florida baby girl that was found in a box, the police have now released her picture. Poor thing, you can see where the ants were biting her.

IMG: OCALA POLICE DEPARTMENT
One of my readers asked what she looked like here is the information from the web:
baby girl, 3-7 days old, 7lb 9 oz, white.
The little girl was found inside a QVC box on the sidewalk wrapped in a yellow blanket and wearing a onesie. This all took place on the southeast corner of Northwest 17th Street and 24th Avenue, just west of the Lillian Bryant Recreation Complex. So far it sounds like no one (not even the community) has named this little angel. I like Lillian since she was found near Lillian Bryant.
If you have any information you can contact: Police Department at 369-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 368-STOP, or visit www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.
Remember this little girl did nothing wrong, she did not deserve to be put out on the street left for the ants to crawl all over her and cars to drive by. She was found crying and probably very scared, even if she was less than a week old.
Abandoned Newborn Found in Box

Down in Florida a newborn baby of about 5-7 days old was found inside a box on the side of the road earlier today. The police are asking if you know of anyone that is missing a newborn or knows who this baby may be.

IMG: Sxc.hu
According to the Ocala Police Department, a driver noticed the child’s hand sticking out of a box at the corner of NW 24 Avenue and 17 Street just after 5 pm Saturday afternoon.
The newborn, a girl believed to be between 3-7 days old, was found unharmed in a QVC box, along with a blanket, a piece of clothing, and a diaper. Paramedics took the the girl to the hospital where she was checked out and found to be in good health.
The newborn little girl was found in a piece of clothing, a diaper and a little yellow blanket that looked to be crocheted. The box was from QVC and left open, I’m guessing so others would notice it was a baby. There (from the article) was no mention of a letter or a name for the child. Hopefully they’ll find the mother or father of the baby.
Baby Found in Dumpster Alive

A little newborn baby was found inside a dumpster yesterday (Sunday) in Sapulpa, Oklahoma….ALIVE. That’s right, the little newborn boy was tossed away in a dumpster behind a Disabled American Vet building. Thankfully a janitor nearby heard the baby
and immediately took it to the hospital. The baby is expected to be just fine. Many times a dumpster baby does not live because they are found too late, this was not the case.
The police are searching for the mother as they aren’t sure of her condition. Currently the baby is in the care of DHS and hopefully will be with a couple that wants him. Either way this is no way to treat a child, this is getting sickening, there are plenty of Safe Haven laws out there.
Momma’s Coffee Break Friday

Can you believe it is Friday already? I bet many of you have weekend plans in honor of Memorial Day. How many of you will be traveling during the holiday or having a BBQ? We will definitely have a BBQ, in fact we did one just last night and plan another this Sunday. I can’t wait.
My own baby is going through the “Me” stage but not as the “it’s mine.” For example, I brought out two chairs and he claimed one, “Me” and sat in it. Another time he asked me something using “me” in reference to him. So apparently he has realized now that he is a little person and “me” is who he is. (Did that make any sense?)
As far as baby new stories go, I’m so happy to see that little Briant Rodriguez was not only found but alive and is back home with his parents and siblings. Sad news though about “Baby Angel” which was later discovered to have been murdered twice by his own mother. (shame)She suffocated him, revived him and decided no she did want him dead and did it again. Someone found the little boy buried in a playground.
So, it’s Friday and you don’t have to stay on topic you can chat about anything. Here are a few things to get you started just in case you think you have nothing to say:
-Officer Saves Baby Sea Lion: He/she was found on the expressway and safely brought to a marine center.
-Baby used as Weapon: An aunt uses her 2 month old nephew as a shield, tosses him at guards and runs off. Leaving him unconscious.
- Wordy Wednesday: I’ve been showing ya’ll the nest on my front porch, the birds finally flew out this week.
- 2nd baby dies from swine flu: Are you worried about it?
- 550 lb woman gives birth: I was shocked after reading most woman can’t get pregnant after a certain amount of weight. But more that the baby was only 4.4lbs.

Just today the police have released the picture of the suspects involved in the 3 year-old Briant Rodriguez kidnapping. The police were able to view this surveillance camera and watch what the suspects drove away in. An early 1990s dark green Ford Bronco with a new spare tire on the back, so keep a look out.

I think this is the best news so far. So here is the picture that is going around the news channels and net. By the way they also have a clip of the two men inside a hardware store where they actually purchased the tape that was used to tie up mom and the kids.
