Two Faces of the Octuplets’ Mom

Okay, we all know by now that the California mom that gave birth to octuplets is Nadya Suleman. Nadya is the mother of 14 children, yep for those that weren’t aware or missed my post she had 6 other children before having fertility treatments to get pregnant again. Another, she had just got divorced so it wasn’t cause she was happily married and they wanted another child together.

But while the press or Nadya would want you to view her as this saint or a mom that LOVES to have children, one begins to wonder. I decided to check a few things out and learned some more about her, course it is easy typing in Octuplets or Nadya Suleman in Google and seeing what comes up. Follow along, it seems she isn’t as put together as everyone wants you to believe.

Good:

-  Did you know she hired a PR person a week after the octuplets were born? So yes, she knew she’d need someone to help her with the press.
-  She loves her kids.
-  She’s going to college to get her Masters.
-  She was getting checks for getting hurt at work (a riot at the hospital she worked at)
-  With the birth of Octuplets she’s bound to get money for doing interviews.

Not so Good:
-  she got a divorce last year
-  Psychiatric Eval just last year showed:

“Since the birth of her baby, she has become very fearful that he will be kidnapped, injured, etc. She is anxious both for herself and for him, particularly in public places to the extent that ’somebody, my husband or my mother, has to take me almost everywhere.’”

He went on to describe her as depressed, anxious and well-mannered. Now why would any doctor give her fertility treatments. Did they not know she had 6 kids? A recent divorce? That she was depressed?

-  living with her mom and dad with the six kids, oh wait now it’ll be with the 14 kids. WOW, hope it isn’t a tiny house.
-  Did fertility treatment with 8 embroyos after already having 6 kids.
-  no job
-  fertility treatments cost around $10,000 (remember she’s living with her parents, why not get a house of your own?)

What do you think? Is this mom stable or just a mom in love with having children?
