Update on Little A

Obviously he still has pink eye as that tends to take a few days and since the doctor mentioned 5 that’s what I’m going with. Only moments ago he woke up, kept me up all night long as he was hyper and don’t ask why since the medicine he got is only eye drops.

He woke of course to his eye being completely stuck shut. Remember that goop I mentioned? Well it closes the eyes shut when it dries. So I quickly got a wet rag to carefully go over his eye until it opened freely and even quicker placed the drops in both eyes.

Anyone having any advice on putting eye drops in a baby’s eye when they don’t want them in? How do you do it? He’s really squirmy and fights the whole time.

Amari had pink eye when he was 9-10 months old. I would lay him down on the floor, use my legs to pin down his arms and hold his head in position, use my left hand to hold the eye open, and right to put in the drops. It was the only way for me to do it myself.

Yes I have to hold him down. I thought tricking him would work but it hasn’t yet. Tried getting his older brother to talk as I quickly dropped one in his eye and well it was a MESS.
