What was Your Baby’s 1st Holiday?

This should be a fun one as everyone has a baby at a different time of the year. I have two sons born in the same month and two girls were summer but each one had a different first holiday.

SoccerBoy, age 11, was born at the end of March. His holiday is Easter, in fact the bunny came to visit us while I was in the hospital. Thankfully it was after I’d given birth, otherwise I think I would’ve thrown something at him. Following that would’ve been April Fool’s Day, which is one of his favorite holidays.

BalletGirl, age 7 going on 8, was born just a few days AFTER the 4th of July. Honestly we thought we were going to have her on the 4th but things changed and she decided to push her luck with me. She was one of those babies that decided she’d come out on her own. The day I was due to get induced, she came THAT morning. Her holiday is Labor Day, which didn’t come until September.

BabyGirl, age 4, was born on August 2 so her only holiday if you don’t count school start would be the same as her sister’s, Labor Day.

Little A, aka buddy is 15months and he was born only a few days before his older brother. His holiday is one of my favorites, St.Patty’s Day. He was decked out in green for his first holiday too.

Each hour today, we are blogging for charity. Please consider making a donation to The Children’s Hunger Fund. You could be helping feed a child.

Amari’s first birthday was Christmas… a mere six days after his birth. We had some friends over for dinner and called it good.
