Words of Advice from Friends

Overnight, I got a vivid and wonderful email from my friend in British Columbia, Canada. She had her second child eight months before I did and I wanted to know if it gets any easier.
“It doesn’t,” she replied, “but you get used to it.”
Then she talks about a kind of tired euphoria that sometimes descends over her. She isn’t sure if that feeling is one of the rewards of motherhood or one of the joys of breast feeding hormones. My point is that the email is full of jewels of wisdom, humour, experience and honesty, the kind of treasures I would like this blog to have.
Her email also reminded me that on the list of things every mother needs, is another mother to talk to.
