I’ve had four children, all four were breastfed and weaned. Yes I can say each one has their own story on how they finally ended their breastfeeding days. Some weren’t so nice to mommy while

With my first I ended up with two bad cases of mastitis, which was very painful. The second time I got it the doctor gave me a pill that would immediately dry the milk supply up and the baby would not be able to drink whatsoever. Those were horrible days, I felt so guilty doing it to him for so reason and cold turkey to top it off. I was in pain, besides having mastitis but the pain of being engorged as well.
With my second child they informed me that they no longer had that pill to make it dry up. She would attempt to stop and then go back, I battled with mastitis every time she tried to stop. The third I can’t even recall but she was easier, no mastitis. This last one took a lot longer than I thought but no mastitis, however now that he is off he still comes at me. There are visits to my room but he no longer tries to nurse, instead he cuddles up to me and sticks his hand down my shirt. Even during the day he does this. But I can state he’s officially off.
Did your child ever stick their hand down your shirt even after they were weaned?
