autumn

Well, the first full week of Novemer is over and we are rushing toward the holidays!  I am so not ready this year.  Have you begun preparing?

Linette is one of the  members on the Baking Delights flickr group.  She made awesome hot chocolate cones that would be perfect additions to a gift basket or teacher gifts this Christmas…Check them out.  If you haven’t joined yet, please do!  It doesn’t cost a thing and you know how much foodies love looking at food images!

Speaking of which, April did the most mouth watering picture of chocolate chip cookies ever. You can find the recipe at her blog, Abby Sweets.

White Chocolate Walnut Gingerbread Blondies. O.M.Gosh.

Micha has paired some of my favorite foods in her Kale Apple Bacon Salad.

Kevin is brilliant as usual…Thai Style Coconut Butternut Squash

No pictures for this caramel apple pie but…the recipe sounds fantastic!

There is a new (to me anyway) food blogging group, My Kitchen, My World.  They do different countries every week and I think I am going to try to get involved with this group if I can remember! It sounds like great fun.

Marie has done a French Shepherd’s Pie..I didn’t know there were various kinds but this one, as every recipe from her blog, looks fabulous.

Coconut and White Chocolate Windmills  look amazing..

I have another birthday party to be at in five minutes.  Have a great day!

Nope, I’m not prepared for Christmas in any way shape or form. I am an ostrich with my head in the sand. I am just not ready to deal with it. I am also ignoring Thanksgiving.
I have placed a small interest in one child’s birthday on the 17th. my Marine’s birthday is on veterans day ::;sniff::::and he is somewhere in the middle of the ocean. I’m still doing birthdays how can I deal with Christmas.??

  2. Marye, it’s been so long. I’m sorry, but it’s good to see you going as strong as ever. That image of the autumn leaves is so beautiful. When I left Somerset 4 weeks ago the leaves were already turning, but here in the Cape we are having some beautiful hot days, and October was spent whale watching. It feels a little odd to be at the beginning of summer instead of the beginning of winter, but I’m not complaining. I wouldn’t say we are ready for Christmas, but we have definitley started thinking about it. It’s my favourite time of year.

Inge! I just checked your blog today..I ahve been worried about you..email me and catch me up!

Ginger…we never get done with birthdays we have too many kids and you know it.

  4. Ginger says:

True, between now and Christmas we have 4 birthdays in the immediate family. Then you can add in the kid’s cousins and our various in laws to total twice that many.

Thanks for the mention:) Have a great weekend!
