I love fall; I’m so happy to be back in the NW where I’ll actually have one. Nothing smells better than Halloween, and spice, and apples… Ah. Fall. I don’t like walnuts though. There are a ton in here.

I too have been getting in the mood for Autumn, but I think that mine change mostly has to do with the temperature! We had the hottest July ever on record, and then August hit and it was like October weather. I don’t get it at all. Your cake looks so yummy, I will have to give it a try as I have sooo many apples I don’t know what to do with them all.

Marye, I can’t wait to try this cake. I love baking with apples. Your writing is great…I enjoyed your descriptions. I too have noticed the change in the color of the light…I love summer but fall is a close second.
