My Most Embarrassing Moment.

I am running late today, can you tell?

Kelly, of Thrifty Mommy has asked us to reveal our most embarrassing moment. This should not be hard for me. I have many.

However. The one that comes to mind is this.

I was to make a special cake for someone I love very much. My pastor’s wife, who I consider to be my spiritual mom, has been an inspiration to me since I met her. She always seems to see the positives in me and she is convinced that I am gifted and talented. Please, please don’t tell her otherwise.

Anyway, so she shares my love of chocolate, and I decided that I would make an incredible deep chocolate cake with French silk filling and ganache frosting. I had made all of these things many times and there was no reason to believe that I couldn’t put them together in a delectable combination that would inspire anyone who tasted it to sing opera.

I put the cake together, gorgeous. I tasted the components as I went…delicious…

Cake was delivered without problem. Check.

Cake was cut without problem. Check.

And as I glanced over to this woman, whom I adore, and look up to…..hoping to see a look of sheer ecstacy on her face….I saw…..

Her pulling one of my hairs out of her mouth.

Yay.

Is that embarrassing enough for ya Kelly?

LOL! It happens. We aren’t required to wear hair nets to cook at home, right? At least my dil said that to me the other day when one of the kids pulled one of my hairs out of THEIR dinner.
