Oh, and I have to say that this mix sounds good. My fiance loves bicuits and we tend to buy Pillsbury ones because, well, I haven’t made very good biscuits in the past lol. I will try this though!

It’s kind of amazing how, when you grow up eating store-bought box mixes or things from restaurants and stuff like that you think that’s how everything is supposed to taste. Then you try it really homemade and it’s like, “Ohhh, *this* is how it should be.” Right? That’s how I was with some things. Things I didn’t even realize could be made from scratch (weird, huh?) Like I mentioned in a previous comment, for a while when I was a kid, my mom loved to cook and would bake cookies from scratch, use fresh veggies from the garden, and so on. Then, as my sisters and I got older, it was Hamburger Helper, store-bought cookie mixes and TV dinners. Now that I’m an adult I really think about the difference in those times, and it makes me miss the times when my mom would do things from scratch.. and we would get to help bake cookies. I think that’s one reason I love to cook and try new things.. and can’t wait to involve my future kids in all those things.

I’m rambling – haha, sorry!

Oh, I just found some of that over the summer growing near the creek up the road. And a huge stand of garlic mustard. We so need to get together and forage. I’ll make you love my biscuits, too.

Hey, love your recipe! I do like my shortening bisquits, I make them and freeze them. Sorry for not being around to comment, a ton of things just rained down. You know how it is, when it rains, it pours!
