And I am evening getting it posted on Saturday this time!
It is spring here. I know that some of you are under a ton of snow, cold, and other wintery stuff but it is like 70 degrees here, the Bradford pears and Quinces are blooming and the bare deciduous trees have a soft look, like you are looking at them through a scarf from the light green leaf buds all over them.
Our goats are huge and ready to have their babies and the chickens are increasing egg production every day. The pasture that has been so bare for the past couple of years is sporting a shaggy look, like a ten year old boy that hates haircuts..and I have one of those. It seems not having horses is going to add rather a lot of mowing to an all ready full schedule.
Oh, and I had told some of you I had my hair done differently last time..so therefore the picture..I used to model here and there but I don’t think I am so photogenic anymore..LOL! The late nights are showing for sure.
First of all, Courtney from Coco Cooks is going ot be on CBS 2 Weekend Morning News on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 10am. Congrats to her. Courtney is such an awesome food blogger and has become a real friend over the past year or so. She is doing this in conjunction with Black History month and will be cooking an African Dish. It is local in Chicago so be sure to watch it if you can.
Cynthia from Tastes Like Home has a step by step on how to do a roll called “Butter Flaps“. They sound amazing to me and she promises that they are as amazing as they sound.
Val of More Than Burnt Toast is another blogging friend with amazing recipes, even if they don;t often hold my beloved chipotle. This past week she blogged a Greek dish that looks amazing, Venetsianiko Pastitsio.
Chocolate Shavings has an orange and white chocolate mousse with cocoa and pistachio tuiles. Is there anything more to be said about that?
Canadian Baker Too posted Macadamia Nut Chocolate Chunk Shortbread on the Baking Delights Flikr group and wow..I had to head over there to see the recipe. YUM!
We now have 31 members at the flickr group. It is fun to page through the images there and see how talented you all are! Please be sure when you post your image to also link to the recipe on your blog so we can visit. : )
That’s all I am up for today. Have a great weekend guys.
