O.k…here is something I just don’t get, and probably never will. As I was checking my stats this morning I saw that I had nearly 100 page hits from a particular porn related site. Now this site is not just porn, it is sort of an overview of porn on the Net. Best porn sites, porn news, etc.
Personally, I was not going to pick around there to find out where the connection was..It was a bit like taking a walk in the local park early on a Saturday morning if you know what I mean…I just think it is odd. It is not the first time I have been linked to from a porn site..just the first time I have had SO many hits from the same site in a short period of time.
I have gallons of milk in the fridge. We have taken the 6 week old bucklings from their mom and so are milking her twice a day rather than once. Between the two does we are rolling (drowning?) in milk. People always ask me how goat’s milk tastes. I think that is a funny question…it tastes like milk. Any type of fresh, raw milk is very delicate. It will take on flavors very easily. So you have to treat it with that in mind. We keep our females (does) well away from the males (bucks) because, frankly, male goats stink. If they are kept together the milk will taste like the male goats smell. It is awful. Yet much of the goat milk I have had from other farms has exactly that taste! And all of it from the store does. But the milk we get is sweet and creamy, with lots of frothy foam on top. If it sits for a few hours then there is a good half inch of thick (sour cream texture) cream covering the top. You can make a nice ice cream from the milk without adding cream. I also like to make cheese, both chevre and mozzarella. I don’t like goat milk butter, however, we made that a few times and I dislike the taste. Anyway, this is way more information than you want or need, but goat milk tastes like raw cows milk. And I definitely need to make ice cream or cheese today.
Well, Matt and Ethan have gone with some of the guys from their youth group to Oklahoma for a fishing trip…and the house is quiet. It should be nice. They were blessed with a drum set yesterday so the quiet this weekend will be especially treasured. It was funny taking them to the area they were meeting up with the rest of the guys. Here I had packed them organic peanut butter, raw honey, organic crackers, organic apple juice and organic raisins…and the stopped and got garlic bread and Mountain Dew. :/ Matt is hoping for trout. Ethan is hoping for females in bathing suits.
Good times.
I am doing o.k. so far today. She has not come to pick up the horses..I think I am going to be all right when she does. Not that it won’t be a struggle but with so much other stuff I am not going to let this be the thing that breaks me.
So..are you ready? On to surfing.
Poodle Cupcakes…Ooodles of poodles and oh-so-adorable, from Cupcakes Take the Cake.
I love Asian food. Thai is my favorite but anything will do. Well almost anything..Anyway..check out Lori’s Asparagus and Cashew Chicken. Recipe girl does it again!
Kristin reminds us once again that the yummiest things can be simple. Check out these Rice Krispie Treat S’mores… Yum…I love rice krispie treats. In fact..when Marc and I were first married I would make two pans of them during the day while he was at work..and eat one..then share the other with him when he got home…
and I was a size 6..
Not only did Megan, of Speedbump Kitchen, bake a fantastic Opera cake but she remade it in a non-allergenic version..Absolutely adorable!
Chris at Mele Cotte has peach curried pork that looks amazing.

What’s Fresh From the Oven this week? Strawberry Rhubarb Tarts.. The images on this are awesome and I especially liked the addition of pistachios as a garnish.

Oh the adays when we were size 6. I noticed a refferal to my blog froma site like that. It was jarring to say the least.Sometime I check stuff at work and have to be careful because you dont know what will come up on the screen.
I love raw milk. Can’t get it where I am, though, plus everyone else is lactose intolerant. I wonder if the goat milk would be ok for them, though?
Will have to check that out. And I want to know how to make cheeeeeese!
The answer to the porn site is – you’ve been spammed
Maybe giz but I don’t know why they would link to ME from their site. I keep their spam off my site. I think perverts just get hungry.
