Well, Stephanie is dispensing more happiness this year, with another blog exchange. I am embarrassed to say that my stuff is late in being sent out, but I blame the flood and other odd happenings the last couple of weeks.
However I got my boxes. Yep boxes, because I did one for here, and one for kettle and cup! The tiny problem I have is that, ahem….I don;t know which box is for which blog..so IF you are one of the dear people who sent me a box and it is on the wrong blog..it is o.k..because it is the right [...]
Post from: Baking Delights

Well, Stephanie is dispensing more happiness this year, with another blog exchange. I am embarrassed to say that my stuff is late in being sent out, but I blame the flood and other odd happenings the last couple of weeks.

However I got my boxes. Yep boxes, because I did one for here, and one for kettle and cup! The tiny problem I have is that, ahem….I don;t know which box is for which blog..so IF you are one of the dear people who sent me a box and it is on the wrong blog..it is o.k..because it is the right person!

Becke at Columbus Foodie sent me the most absolutely amazing box!

Understand that last week was one challenge after another. We have a tenant that has not paid rent in 2 months and we have been trying to talk to her rather than evict her but she refuses to pay her rent…We are not, as you know, independently wealthy, so the house payment on that house is late..Marc and I spent the morning of the flood at the pain clinic and the evening after at the ER at the VA. I was literally having one of those days where you can’t stop crying..and I was praying…and I told God I just was so far beyond my limit I could not deal with one more thing..within an hour this package was being ripped open by me, with help from my kids…and the treasure that I found inside…

Seriously there was a ton of chocolate, chocolate covered coffee beans, FIVE kinds of cinnamon, and so many little (and big) delicacies that I knew that not only was Becke’s box a gift from her, but she had, maybe unknowingly, been the vehicle for the Lord to give me a very large hug just when I needed it.

I was amazed that she, like me, is very into supporting local foods and farmers..and she sent me some wonderful things that were produced locally.

She sent me these truffles that are made by a friend of hers, who, incidentally has the same name as a friend (and old Pastor) of OURS. Daniel Cooper makes these beautiful (and delicious) things by hand at Pure Imagination

She sent me some Buckeyes, not knowing that they were a personal favorite of mine, and ..oh, vanilla beans….

There is so much to list…I can only say how fabulous it was,. and how overwhelmed I was with it. Thanks Becke!
