Oh man, you guys…I have been crazy distracted. I had an appointment with the VA and found out that they had cancelled my thyroid meds and my appointment with the Endocrinologist because my thyroid levels were low normal. I tried to explain that I didn’t have a thyroid and they were low normal because of the medications. I also found out that yes, they nicked a nerve in my throat during surgery and my swallowing was affected. If I am not stressed and eat things with lots of sauce it is o.k…sometimes. It should get better over time.

The skies are gray today and a brisk wind is pulling at the siding of my house. I am comfy in my bed, watching the fire in the bedroom fireplace and listening to the kids downstairs. If you don’t mind I think it is a little chilly for surfing…so perhaps skating or skiing is in order?

Today is the last day to ship packages overseas by parcel post. December 11 is the deadline for sending packages overseas by priority. Hopefully if you are planning to send cookies to loved ones far away you are planning on sending them priority anyway. Some cookies seem to keep well and arrive intact while others seem to fall apart the minute they are stamped with the postal stamp. If you are sending cookies the ones from this list, if packed properly, will work.
