Sausage, Apple, and Raisin Stuffing

O.k. I was planning on doing this with cranberries and then I didn’t have any…so I went with what I did have which was golden raisins. This stuffing is addictive, I promise. It is so flavorful, even without roasting in the turkey, that you will be lucky to get ti to the table. I added chipotle in adobo for a smoky little kick and because of that I think it would be amazing to serve with a deep fried turkey.

Slow Cooker Red Cabbage and Sausage

Although it is not quite slow cooker weather here, for many of you it is. Actually, I tend to use the slow cooker all year because it doesn’t heat up the kitchen and it really is a great way to cook meals.
This is so good. You can substitute a good dark ale for the wine if you like with excellent results.
Serve it with a dark rye bread, some sliced Swiss or Gouda, noodles, and you have a great meal happening.
