And Here is my comment on the post itself. In the form of a question. I have this adorable Christmas mouse recipe. . . LOL! Made with Hershey’s kisses. . . I’ll post it if you’d like.
yes you should!
How To Make Chocolate Mice
http://www.grouprecipes.com/photo/?id=25680
Chocolate flavored almond bark
(or chocolate chips)
Jar Maraschino Cherries
Hershey’s Kisses
almond slices
red icing or little candy bits
1. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
2. Drain cherries and pat dry with paper towels.
3. Melt several bars chocolate flavored almond bark ( I use chocolate chips but you have to add a little butter to make a softer coating on the “mice” ) in a glass container in the microwave. It usually takes 1 to 1 1/2 minutes depending on the microwave. Test by removing the container, stirring the chocolate until smooth so you can dip cherries in it. (If you overcook the mixture will become lumpy.)
4. Dip cherry in the chocolate bark, covering the stem. Remove the cherry from the chocolate with tongs or clean fingers. Place the dipped cherry on wax paper to dry. We’ve found it’s easiest to line them up on the cookie sheet to make assembly easier. Cherries can be placed with the tail curving up or sideways to add character to each mouse.
6. Dab melted chocolate on the flat side of an unwrapped Hershey kiss. Select two almond slivers – you can break one in two to make the ears – and place next to each other to form the mouse ears on the back of the Hershey kiss. Attach the Hershey kiss to the mouse body and allow to dry.
7. Pipe red icing for nose and eyes – or use candy bits.
