Here is a favorite and easy sweet and salty candy recipe...
Chocolate Pretzel Candy
48 to 50 pretzels rings
1 (8 oz.) bag Hershey's milk chocolate kisses(any flavor)
1/4 cup red and green regular or peanut M&M's
1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
2. Place pretzels on foil or parchment papaer-lined cookie sheets; place a chocolate kiss in the center of each pretzel ring. Bake at 275 degrees for 2-3 minutes or until chocolate is softened.
3. Remove from the oven. Place an M&M candy on each, pressing down slightly so chocolate fills the pretzel.
4. Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes or until chocolate is firm. Store at room temperature. Yield: about 4 dozen.

I'm trying to develop a relationship by adding a melted hershey bar to the crust of a no-bake cheese cake. But I'm not sure if I should melt the chocolate in a separate pan & pour it over the crust, or if I should try to melt it as I precook the crust. If I can kill two birds with one stone, then I won't have to worry about scorching my chocolate in the pan.
And for the filling, I just blend my cream cheese with an equal part of cool whip, & sour cream, in my food processor.
Wish me luck, ....

The rules of Chocolate
If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

The problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car?
The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.

Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less.

If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?

Money talks. Chocolate sings. Beautifully.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger. Therefore, you need to eat more chocolate.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy?

If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be devastated. You can't let that happen, can you?

JoJo that image is from the Hershey;'s Site...
Chopping pecans the old fashioned way, with a knife is the best way to do it though.

Ooooh. All this talk about s'mores and thumbprint cookies and Kisses has me hungry now! Your cookies look (and sound) amazing. I'm definitely running out to buy some caramel-filled Kisses this weekend to give this one a try! :) Caramel, chocolate, and pecans? How could you go wrong?

I do have a question, though. How did you grind your pecans? They don't look very fine, and I'm afraid I'll over-grind mine if I put them in, say, the food processor.
