If you haven’t BTDT (been there, done that), the lingo in any on-line community can be daunting, KWIM (know what I mean)? Breastfeeding bulletin boards and communities have their own set of abbreviations.
Here’s a list to help you get started. HTH (hope this helps!):
BF = breastfed or breastfeeding
BM = breast milk
EBF = exclusively breastfed
EBM = expressed breast milk
EN = extended nursing
EP = exclusively pumping
FF = formula-fed or formula-feeding
IBCLC = international board certified lactation consultant
LC = lactation consultant
LD = let-down
LLL = La Leche League
NAK = nursing at keyboard
OALD = overactive let-down
PAK = pumping at keyboard
PIS = Medela Pump In Style breast pump
PP = postpartum
PY = Ameda Purely Yours breast pump
SNS = supplemental nursing system
My favorite abbreviation is NAK: nursing at keyboard. That’s how I write many of these posts! Oops, was that TMI (too much information), LOL (laughing out loud)?!
Did I miss any? Any of your own you’d like to propose?

That’s a great list, Angela. So many time I’ve had to do searches when I pop in on new forums to figure out the acronyms. ROFLMAO.
TYVM!
