Become a “Breastfeeding Babe” for the WOMAN Challenge!

Time for a confession. Remember my New Year’s Resolution to exercise four times per week? I tallied up the number of days marked off on my calendar and the news wasn’t good. I’m averaging 2.6 days per week so far this year. (I plead midwestern winters and child illnesses — turns out my daughter’s illness last Saturday was/is rotavirus and we’re still battling it! I’ve spent most of the last five days with a toddler resting on me.)
Thank goodness Tanya came up with the idea for all of the breastfeeding bloggers to join the WOMAN Challenge! Women and girls Out Moving Across the Nation (WOMAN) is an 8-week challenge to increase your physical activity beginning on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 13, 2007. Anyone — breastfeeding or not, female or male — can join our WOMAN Challenge team.
I came up with the team name “Breastfeeding Babes” because some of us are breastfeeding our babes, and by the end of eight weeks of consistent exercise, we’ll be hot lookin’ breastfeeding babes (hey, a girl can dream)!
For more details on how to participate, head on over to Tanya’s post. Join us, and leave a note in the comments section here to let me know you’re part of the team! Don’t delay because the government is mailing out free pedometers on a first-come-first-serve basis!
