A Massachusetts judge denied Sophie Currier’s request for extra break time to pump during a two-day medical licensing exam. Currier, who has a four-month-old daughter, plans to appeal before the test early next week.
The Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge on Saturday, September 29, 2007, now has 189 registered sites, with 29 of those in 17 different U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
The Second Annual World Breastfeeding Week Book Release Challenge has been extended through the end of September!
Canadian midwife Carolynn Prior has filed a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Division after a lifeguard at the Scarborough YMCA asked her to move from the pool deck where she was breastfeeding her baby.

West Toledo, Ohio mother Melanie Flores has retained a lawyer after a clerk at a Pac-Sun clothing store told her she couldn’t breastfeed her son in the store.
