Breastfeeding 1-2-3

Calling All Breastfeeding and Mommy Bloggers: Join Me for NaBloPoMo 2007

It is time to start gearing up for National Blog Posting Month: NaBloPoMo! For NaBloPoMo, bloggers around the blogosphere commit to the challenge of posting at least one blog post per day for the month of November. I had a lot of fun with it last November. This time around NaBloPoMo allows participants to create their own networking groups, and I have set up one for Breastfeeding and Mothering bloggers to join! Please join the group if you are a breastfeeding mother and blogger who is up to the challenge of writing a post a day for the month of November! You certainly do not have to write about breastfeeding — the point is for breastfeeding mothers to discover the blogs of other like-minded mothers. Want to play along?

1. Sign up for NaBloPoMo
2. Become a member of Breastfeeding and Mothering
3. Get ready to write a post a day for the month of November (Tip: it helps to learn how to publish a few posts in advance! No cheating by backdating posts!)
4. Blog away for the month of November for the fun of it, for a chance to win prizes, and for the extra exposure it brings your blog!

Thanks Angela for the heads up. I’ll have to pass up the challenge this time. One post a day is not a goal that is good for my family right now. I will keep it in mind and try to at least stop by and see what others are writing. Have fun!

  2. I’m in and heading over to my blog to write about it now. Thanks Angela!

  3. Stacie and Colleen – Yay! I’m so glad you both will be participating and I look forward to reading your posts! Now if I can just figure out how to have time both to write a post a day AND read everyone else’s posts, I’ll be all set ;)

  4. Renata – I totally understand! Family always comes first. Thanks for letting me know!

  5. OK, I’m all signed up n official n stuff. Please keep me posted if I need to do anything special (other than blog like a mad woman) come Nov. :)

  15. Kelli says:

    Signed up.

I did this last year and have to say that as a blogger, it really made me expand my horizons. Before deciding to do it, I really thought about different topics I wanted to write about and as such, I made a list. That certainly helped me get through the “dry days” when I was struggling for fodder.

I also highly recommended carrying a small notebook around so that you can capture thoughts and ideas as you go throughout your day.

I am also particularly sentimental about NaBloPoMo because I announced my pregnancy that month and won a prize because of it. Free stuff always makes me sing. hee!

  16. Excellent ideas Kelli! I carry a notebook with me too.

  17. CaseyB says:

I signed up. I have a blog that I don’t think anyone but my husband reads. LOL Hopefully this will help me expand my horizons. It would also be nice if I knew someone besides him was reading my hard thought out posts. :-)

  18. Welcome Casey! I like the name of your blog :)

  19. Jenn says:

I am all signed up, joined the group and will be writing a post about it come tonight! I am pretty excited! :)

  20. Welcome Jenn! 25 members and counting…. I’ve already enjoyed reading new blogs!

  21. Whymommy says:

    I’m in! Great idea!

  22. MomOnTheGo says:

I’ve signed up and written a post. If I get stuck, I’m counting on the others who have signed up to provide inspiration. I’ll try to offer some of my own.

  23. Leisa says:

Ok, count me in – it’s good timing as I am just setting up the breastfeeding with my third child, and everyone is tired of me talking about it (I think) – so a daily blog is probably a good outlet!

  24. I just joined! How fun! I am due to write a post soon about breastfeeding my two year old… I still love it!

    Steph

  25. Ok, I’m in too! It will be a challenge, but I think I can do it.

  26. Mamacita says:

Do I have to blog here or on my own site for it to count as the challenge?

  27. Hi Mamacita! You post at your own site, at least one post a day for all 30 days of November. I’ll do the same here and others will post on their own blogs. Glad to have you along!
