Good luck with the weaning, and congrats on the pregnancy. I am so late reading the carnival this month!

congratulations on your pregnancy. :)

this is a great post. i appreciate you sharing your perspective on weaning. i, too, am contemplating weaning my 3 1/2 year old. while it's been a wonderful 3 1/2 years, i find myself growing tired of nursing her - even once per day - while i am still breastfeeding her younger brother. i've done the tandem thing for over a year now. i think i am going to start encouraging her to wean in the next several months - hopefully by her 4th birthday in june. we'll see what happens.

I just weaned my daughter last month while pregnant. She has been sick with a cold on and off for that entire month as have my husband and I as well. For some reason it did not occur to me that not nursing her was possibly a part of the problem though there were many tmes I longed to comfort her by nursing.
