I found pumping so much more taxing than simply nursing, so I have tremendous respect for mothers in pumping-only situations who choose to keep their children so well provided. Pumping out of choice/convenience is one thing - but making the commitment to pump every ounce of milk for your baby for months on end is incredible! Kudos to any and all moms who take this on! It is a lot easier to keep going when you get to snuggle your child at least part of the time rather than hooking up to a machine. I pumped until my son was about 14 months, but now we nurse when we're together and he has water while we are apart (or some milk from the stash). Anyway...
