Just wanted to give one more tip for discreet nursing in public. I don't like to cover my baby, he gets hot way to easily, and I just don't think it's nice for him, so I've never covered him. But I also don't like my sides or back showing when I feed him. My trick: I always keep a zip-up hoodie handy. If I'm out and my clothes aren't cooperating, I just throw on my zip-up sweatshirt, and it offers coverage.
(I live in a really warm climate, and I have a winter baby, might not work in the middle of summer) thanks for the other ideas.
