Behold the activist power of breastfeeding women across the United States! This Google Map shows the nurse-ins planned so far for September 8, 2007, at 51 Applebee’s locations in 27 states ([Edited to add: The map was last updated Monday, September 10th, to reflect 105 locations in 38 states (Note that some locations have yet to report their participant numbers but sites that definitely did not participate were removed.] Be patient as it takes a while to load fully!) Remember to check the Yahoo group for exact location details.

AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL, INCREDIBLE – THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!
The power of 1!!! Way to go!
I think it’s now up to 79 sites in 38 states!
Hog wash this lady is no lady , funny how she just happened to have a copy of the law in her purse, can you say set up? she should be ashamed. I have 5 children all were breast fed babies , This lady just wanted attention and she got it, I have been to Applebee’s 2 times in the past while women were breastfeeding this is just hogwash.. I live in southern KY and this woman should be ashamed , I just love that she had that copy of the law in her purse hahahahah AND to beat it all this happened IN JUNE!
In response to Cindy..
You know, it’s a shame that women like you even exist. If you nursed, then you should know that it is unfortunately very difficult to get a healthy nursing relationship going. I, too, carry a copy of breastfeeding laws for the state of Texas. If anyone ever says anything negative, I pay them no mind. If I were asked to leave, you bet your a$$ they’d have a lawsuit on hand. There is absolutely nothing for Ms. Ryan to be ashamed of. Please [...] realize that there is NOTHING wrong with a woman nursing her child.
Like i said go back and read I nursed all my children, so I agree nothing wrong with breastfeeding, BUT I live in Lexington where this took place and Ms. RYAN did not even show up to the protest today that she started, she was unavailable to comment as well.
