How Many Children Do You Have? A Poll

Don’t miss the poll results from the last poll: When Should a Nursling Wean?
This new poll is a bit more complicated than it appears to be. With blended families, pregnancies and adoptions in progress, infertility and losses, the question “How Many Children Do You Have?” can be a loaded one. Please feel free to answer as you see fit. Leave a comment on this post if you’d like! For example, has anyone else noticed a trend among friends/acquaintances toward having three or more children?

I have two children but I am desperately trying to convince my husband for a third. I have been telling him that “three is the new two”. Many of my friends are now having (or just had) their third baby. I truly want four but that will probably never happen! Cool poll!
Yes, I’ve heard the same thing thing too about “three is the new two”! I hope you and your husband can come to an agreement.
It’s heartening to see a trend toward bigger families. My husband and I have one infant, and we hope she is the first of many! We’d like to have 8 or more children, by birth and through adoption.
Hi Becky! I’m glad you’re enjoying Breastfeeding 1-2-3 and I appreciate your comments! With your plans for a large family, you might enjoy the blog Owlhaven: http://owlhaven.wordpress.com/. Mary has eight children, by birth and through international adoption.
When I was younger I always wanted a large family like my grandmother, she had 12. We currently have 5 children & friends of ours are due with # 6 in September. I have noticed a trend in the amount of children people are having, the new norm does seem to be 3 or 4.
