Set Your DVR or VCR: Dr. Sears on the Dr. Phil Show on Friday, January 19

The Attachment Parenting Book : A Commonsense Guide to Understanding and Nurturing Your BabyIf you’re a fan of attachment parenting and the Sears family of pediatricians, set your TiVo or VCR to record Dr. Phil on Friday, January 19, 2007 (check your local listings in the United States and Canada for exact times). Dr. Phil has invited Dr. William Sears, Dr. James Sears and Dr. Robert Sears to help answer questions from young mothers. Want to know “how do I stop the temper tantrums” or “what do I do if my child just won’t eat?” Want to see some interesting debate? It should make for very good television because Dr. Phil and the Sears family do not always agree on what’s right. Take for example the issue of sharing a family bed, also known as “co-sleeping.” Dr. Phil is against it while the Sears family is for it. To read more about the sleep debate, read this article from the Dr. Phil website.

If you watch the show, let me know what you think! I’ll be watching!

Did anyone record the Jan 19th airing of Dr. Sears on Dr. Phil? I’d love a copy. I could send money for the tape shipping if you’d like.
    Thanks,
    Sarah

I wish I could help you! I kept it on my TiVo for a while but eventually deleted it.

  1. [...] I recorded last Friday’s episode of the Dr. Phil show with great anticipation and even a little bit of trepidation. I was very curious to hear what the Sears family of pediatricians — Dr. Bill, Dr. Bob and Dr. Jim — and nurse Martha had to say and how they would interact with Dr. Phil. I know Dr. Phil doesn’t agree with them on the co-sleeping issue and I wondered whether the show would deteriorate into a war of words that wouldn’t really help anyone. I was pleasantly surprised!
