Breastfeeding 1-2-3 reader Bobbi Lynn kindly sent me some screen shots of the January 8th episode of the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. In the episode “Castrating Sheep in Montana,” Berta (played by Conchata Ferrell) discovers that Alan (Jon Cryer) has been dating her daughter Naomi (Sara Rue).
Bobbi Lynn was pleased to report that the show featured a four or five minute segment during which the character Naomi breastfed her baby in a coffee shop. Breastfeeding was portrayed as totally normal.

How refreshing! I’m sad I missed the episode. Thanks for sharing it with us Bobbi Lynn!

i’m all for breasfeeding on sitcoms and in real life. its healthy and beautiful and is the best source of protein for growing babies
How great is that!? I love to see breastfeeding being promoted as it’s the most natural thing in the world, as far as i’m aware they didn’t have formula & sterilisers 1000 years ago! My little boy is 15 months now and my wife still breastfeeds him, we get funny looks when we are out which iritates me but we’ll keep on doing it as long as we’re happy! I hope more shows continue to promote it like this!
