I’m taking a cue from one of my favorite blogging resources ProBlogger and doing a little “speed linking” today.
Tanya at the Motherwear Breastfeeding Blog has written about the latest scientific studies on breastfeeding (findings show that breastfeeding improves vision, lowers the risk of diabetes and helps boost social status). Tanya is also running a contest to give away copies of Near Mama’s Heart, a breastfeeding-friendly children’s book written by Colleen Newman of My Baby and More.
Andi at Mama Knows Breast reports the news that New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is spending more than $2 million to get city-run hospitals to promote breastfeeding.
Jennifer at The Lactivist writes about a neat way that knitters can contribute their skills to support breastfeeding education. Hey, if my Lamaze teacher can demonstrate labor and birth on a knitted uterus, why can’t breastfeeding educators use knitted breasts?
