]]> When an Ohio daycare discriminated against Robin Neorr by charging more to feed her daughter breastmilk, she didn’t just get mad. She decided to work for change. She got involved in the movement of lactation activism and formed the Ohio Breastfeeding Coalition. Among other things, the group will work for legislative change, starting with revising the child care guidelines so that day care centers cannot discriminate against breastfed babies.

If you live in Ohio and want to help Robin and fellow Ohioan Jennifer of The Lactivist promote the cause of breastfeeding in that state, you can join the Ohio Breastfeeding Coalition email list on Yahoo Groups. You can make a difference! Just look at the success of the Arkansas Breastfeeding Coalition which recently found a sponsor for legislation that would exempt breastfeeding from the Arkansas indecent exposure law.
