What Do Pimples and Gray Hairs Have to Do with Breastfeeding?

What do pimples and gray hairs have to do with breastfeeding? Well, nothing really, except it is my 36th birthday today and it occurs to me that if I’m old enough to be married and have a nursling, I ought not to have breakouts, and at the same time, if I’m young enough to have a nursling, I ought not to have any gray hairs! Not that I’m complaining really. I stand by my annual declaration that every age has wonderful things about it (and having my nursling is certainly one of the wonderful things about my life right now).
It does boggle my mind though that I’m old enough to have another child entering kindergarten in a week. Today we attend the kindergarten classroom open house and I expect to have to hold back a few tears!

Woo-hoo! Happy 36th Birthday!
If it makes you feel any better, I noticed the acne/gray hair dichotomy in myself at a much younger age!! LOL!!
Happy birthday!
I hope that it’s wonderful and everything you’ve wanted! ^_^
Happy, Happy Birthday, Angela! I’m 34 now and having the same problems so don’t fret – you’re not alone; my eldest is seven now and entering primary 4 and my second daughter starts nursery next week – so there’ll be LOTS of tears from me too!
As the song goes, “Don’t worry…. Be happy…”
Plus my (2 year old) nursling is no more as we’ve just weaned – so my hormones are completely all over the place
Thanks ladies! It’s wonderful to get such nice birthday wishes. I had a really great day (although I did have to hold back a few tears at that kindergarten open house
).
Ahhh memories. I wish I was 36 again. I remember my hair actually falling out when I was breastfeeding. I little scary at the time. Happy birthday.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful, beautiful, intellegent, caring, and uber-talented sister! I love and respect you so much!
Um, I just read my post after it posted and realized right away that I mis-typed the word intelligent – I promise it was a typo and not intentional, but doesn’t it say something when someone misspells the word “intelligent”??
Jill, what does it say about me that I didn’t even notice the misspelling? I think it says I was busy basking in the glow of the compliments
Right back at you, my sister!
Talking about grey hair, no one can beat me.
Happy birthday, Angela!
Happy Birthday! Hope you have/had a wonderful day!
(Now that I know how old you and Sinead are, I’m wondering about all of our ages… Am I the oldest one?)
