I will never get tired of chocolate on chocolate. I’m going to be making these for our Labor Day barbecue this weekend. Enjoy!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1 cup butterPreheat oven to 350° F. In a bowl, cream sugars, eggs, vanilla and butter. Combine the rest of the dry ingredients and sift into butter mixture; mix well. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-12 minutes.
Also good with about 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts.

Heather-
if you substitute Hershey’s Dark Cocoa for the regular cocoa…and use part dark chooclate chips and part milk chocolate chips and part semisweet chocolate chips you will have a death by chocolate chocolate chip cookie. Trust me on this one.
Oh Marye, you’re awful! I’m out of milk chocolate chips! >:D
Marye always comes up with killer substitutions! These look great, Heather. And since you love “chocolate on chocolate”, I’ll be making French Chocolate Macaroons later this week, w/ a ganache filling that’s really versatile, and you could sandwich it between two of these cookies incase you’re revived after Marye’s death by chocolate and come back for more.
