Blogathon 2007!

Blogathon 2007 will be taking place this Saturday July 28th. It begins at 6am Pacific (9am Eastern) and ends Sunday July 29th at 6am. Bloggers all over the world will be updating their weblogs every half an hour for 24 hours, for an end total of 49 posts. Readers, friends, family and whomever else sponsor these bloggers for either a flat amount or an hourly amount. No amount is too small! At the end of the event an email goes out to all the sponsors with a link directly to the blogger’s charity donation page — no money ever goes to the Blogathon or to the weblogger! I’ll be blogging at my personal weblog for Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary, a no-kill animal shelter here in Las Vegas. I can be sponsored here (there is a quick registration needed, but your information will never be sold or used in any way other than to send you a note after the event is over). This will be my fifth year participating and I really look forward to it every year. I have quite a few friends who also do it and I have yet to find anything as entertaining as a 3am chat session.

Now, here’s where I need your help. I don’t really snack much throughout the event and I cut caffeine around 10pm so I can get to sleep at 6am on Sunday. But I’d like to know, if you were participating, what kind of chocolate would you have to have on hand?

I usually stick with just the little snack sized bars since they’re pretty satisfying and I get my fix without feeling too guilty. M&M’s are always a winner too. I also like a mug of hot chocolate later in the evening after I’ve turned off the coffee pot. What would you suggest? This is a once-a-year event and I think I’d like to treat myself this year, especially after everyone’s gone to bed and I can indulge without having to share
