I love fudgy, chewy brownies. I’m not crazy about the cakey kind because I figure if I want cake I’ll have cake, you know? Anyway, I found this recipe on AllRecipes not too long ago and it’s one of the few that has turned out as promised – dense and yummy!

Chewy Brownies
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup melted butter
2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/3 cup confectioners’ sugar for decorationPreheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line one 9×13 inch pan with greased parchment paper.
Combine the cocoa, melted butter, sugar, eggs, salt , flour and vanilla. Mix until well combined. It should be very thick and sticky.
Spread mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
What are your favorite kind of brownies?

hmmm..favorite? Edible ones?!
I make a chocolate chipotle brownie that I really love..and one with 2 layers of brownie with peanut butter mousse sandwiched in between…
those you posted look really good.
I agree; what the heck is the point of cake brownies? The chewier the better IMO. I like mine totally plain though. No ice cream or god forbid rainbow sprinkles. (my son’s idea).
I totally agree on chewy vs. cakey brownies. And also, that picture has just launched a huge craving. And I have NO chocolate anywhere.
YUM! BROWNIES!!
