Bubble Chocolate Debuts in the U.S.

I first wrote about Bubble Chocolate over two years ago, and it’s only now being released to U.S. markets!

The chocolate bars, which are available in 60% dark and milk chocolates, are loaded with tons of tiny little bubbles, which make for an interesting texture experience when eaten.

The makers, who say they were inspired by the European aerated bars, say they were tired of waiting for the air-filled chocolate to hit the US, and decided to finally take matters into their own hands.

I’ve had Canadian Aero Bars several times, and while I like them about as well as anything, the texture did take a little getting used to. To me, the flavor is more concentrate in a regular bar of dense chocolate, and almost feels waxy with a bubbly bar.

The 2.82 oz bars are available online for $2.49 each, though buying in bulk saves you more (available in 16 bar cases for $40). The site has a “store locator” link with no actual information yet.

Have you seen these in a store near you?

Was in Philadelphia at a medical conference this week. At the luncheon they had some chocolate bars called bubble chocolate. The Bubble Chocolate bar is apparently aerated and all natural and it is in a very nice looking carton…I have to say the taste and texture is simply delicious. So I started to look up Bubble Chocolate on the web; since I had never heard or tasted a chocolate bar like Bubble Chocolate and chanced upon your website. It is simply wonderful I was amazed at how great it tasted. I called Bubble Chocolate and they said it will be in stores very shortly (can’t wait) in the Philadelphia area but in the meantime can order off their website.
    Thanks,

Aeros taste waxy because over the last few years they’ve all been frozen before being sold and that really does wreck the texture :( Aero is my absolute FAV chocolate bar but I rarely buy it anymore because of the freezing.
