Calling All Aussie Chocoholics

I just wish I had high blood pressure! No, not really, but there is a great opportunity for those of you who live in Australia and have blood pressure that is a little on the high side. Researchers at the University of Adelaide are looking for volunteers to eat chocolate while having their blood pressure monitored.
Sounds great, but there is a little more to it (and not everyone gets the chocolate). They are looking for about 60 volunteers over a seven month period. You will be asked to eat 50 grams of dark chocolate or take a tomato extract or take a placebo every day for two months. You need to be able to meet with their nurse once a month, which is why you need to be in Australia, and quite likely, in or near Adelaide.
They are specifically looking for volunteers over the age of 20, with a systolic blood pressure between 120-139 and diastolic blood pressure between 80-89. The volunteers shouldn’t be taking any blood pressure medication, should not have diabetes or glucose intolerance, and obviously should not be allergic to either chocolate or tomatoes. If you qualify, and want to volunteer, you can send an email to nicky.bennett@adelaide.edu.au
