Celebrating National S’mores Day

S’mores are as much a part of summer as mosquitoes and air conditioning. Whether you made them the “old fashioned” way by roasting the marshmallows over a campfire or by using a microwave, one thing’s for sure, nothing’s more satisfying than the timeless graham cracker, marshmallow and chocolate treat!

S’mores apparently date back to around the 1920’s, and though no one knows for sure who actually put together the first graham crackers together with gooey marshmallows and chocolate, rumor has it the Girl Scouts may have been the first. The name, of course, comes from a popular sentiment from around the campfire: “Give me some more!”
