3,000 kilograms (approximately 6613 pounds, if my googlefu is working) of chocolate coins are being recalled by by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The coins were sold at Costco and Dollar and Bulk stores across Canada and are being recalled after the agency found traces of melamine in them.
The product, called Pirate’s Gold Milk Chocolate Coins made by Sherwood brands, is sold in 840-gram containers containing 240 pieces per container with UPC code 0 36077 11240 7 and the lot code 1928S1. The product is sold nation-wide at Costco stores and may have been sold in bulk packages or as individual pieces at various Dollar and Bulk stores.
For more information consumers can call the CFIA at 1-800-442-2342 / TTY 1-800-465-7735 (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, Monday to Friday).

Not sure if you posted this or not but Koala’s March (chocolate) cookies were also recalled here due to Melamine.
It’s so scary
and preventable.
>_< That’s insane. The world isn’t right when chocolate isn’t safe anymore.
Awwee not the chocolate! Isn’t anything safe anymore?
