Did you know National Chocolate Milkshake Day is coming up on the 12th? Or that chocolate custard gets an entire month? I didn’t either, but now we do!
- American Chocolate Week — March 14-20
- National Chocolate Day(s) — October 28, December 28, December 29
- National Milk Chocolate Day — July 28
- National Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day — November 7
- National Chocolate Mint Day — February 19
- National Chocolate Chip Day — May 15
- National Chocolate Eclair Day — June 22
- National Chocolate Covered Anything Day — December 16
- National Chocolate Covered Raisins Day — March 24
- National Chocolate Custard Month — May 1-31
- National Chocolate Pudding Day — June 26
- National Chocolate Ice Cream Day — June 7
- National Chocolate Milkshake Day — September 12
I italicized the two I found most amusing: “National Chocolate Covered Anything Day?” Isn’t that called everyday?
Of course, chocolate is also used to help celebrate more widely known holidays:

who is this according to? And when was it decided? It seems National Chocolate Ice Cream day should be in July, as that is National Ice Cream month (thanks Reagan)
Yummy…but I think there MUST be more..
Well, that is pretty cool — to gather all the holidays together. Who knew. Do you celebrate all of them? And also did you get a new banner? It looks different. Am I just nuts?
6th Floor – I’m not actually sure! I did a search for chocolate holidays and pulled up a generic list. I don’t know “official” they are but any excuse to celebrate chocolate is ok in my book!
Marye – I agree. I think we should make some of our own.
Jennifer – No, no real celebrating – I didn’t even know they existed until last week (although everything seems to have a holiday nowadays so I should have known better, haha!) And yes, new banner! Yay!
hmm yummy, yummy I celebrate it every day because I am addicted to chocolate….
hee! interesting blog. did you know that chocolate was banned in switzerland for many years. read this
