Chocolate Jesus is Back

Remember the chocolate Jesus sculpture from this past spring? The artist has decided to bring it back into the spotlight with the “Chocolate Saints, Sweet Jesus” show (which will also feature eight chocolate sculptures of Catholic saints) in New York in a couple of weeks.
He hopes that there will be no lingering controversy over it. I’m thinking that’s not going to happen (this is the US after all), and honestly I think the only reason it’s being brought back is because of the controversy. It stopped being an issue about a week after it debuted, but as they say, even bad publicity is good publicity!
No controversy. Sure. I don’t believe he wishes for that anyway – I mean, who had heard of him before chocolate Jesus anyway?
Hi Christina! My thoughts exactly. I read the story and rolled my eyes at the mention of not wanting anymore controversy. He knows exactly what’s going to happen, all over again.
