Planters Chocolate Covered Cashews

I love chocolate. I love cashews. So when I saw this at the store I snatched it up. The bag says they’re $1.99 for a 3.5 oz bag but it only rang up for $1.00.

The bag says:

Planters starts with the finest quality, whole cashews that are freshly roasted to perfection and then drenched in pure Milk Chocolate. Planters Nuts In Chocolate have the perfect balance of fresh roasted nut taste & smooth, creamy chocolate.

They’re not bad. I know that’s not a glowing review but overall they’re really kind of bland. There just wasn’t enough oomph in either the chocolate or the nut to really persuade me to get these again. I think if the cashews were lightly salted it would have gone over better, in fact. Some people think I’m weird about salt and chocolate but in the right amount you can’t beat it. I’ll only buy Reese’s peanut butter cups because any other brand just does not add enough salt to the peanut butter (even my beloved See’s doesn’t quite get it right).

My husband, who also loves cashews and doesn’t like chocolate if it doesn’t have something in it, wasn’t that crazy about them either.
