Snickers Peanutopolis

I love it when candy bar makers sneak in fun things on the wrappers of their products. I was amused by Kit Kat putting opening instructions on theirs years ago, and finally found one on a Snickers past week:

This is the first I’ve seen or heard of “Peanutopolis,” but with a little Googling it’s just a marketing gimmick from Mars and has been around for a couple of years (maybe I should have checked the expiration date?), though this is the first I’ve seen it.

And upon opening, they’ve provided a handy definition of “Peanutopolis:”

“A state of mind making you feel very strong and powerful, almost mayor-like.” Have you seen a Peanutopolis Snickers bar?

I’ve never noticed this about Snickers! How funny! I can’t wait to go buy one to check out the Peanutopolis.

Have you seen the billboards with different words on them? The Snickers “look” is so distinctive; great marketing idea.
