I’m not usually interested in vacationing in any urban area. To me the ultimate holiday getaway is somewhere quiet and off the beaten track, maybe with a beach. However, I do think a trip to Hershey, Pennsylvania would be a very interesting experience.
This is not just a town with a chocolate factory. The whole place revolves around chocolate from the street names (Chocolate Avenue and Cocoa Avenue) to the streetlights (shaped like Hershey’s Kisses) to all the attractions. The whole place revolves around chocolate from the street names (Chocolate Avenue and Cocoa Avenue) to the streetlights (shaped like Hershey’s Kisses) to all the attractions. And there are many attractions. There’s Hersheypark, a massive amusement park that just happens to be turning 100 this year, Hershey’s Chocolate World, where you can tour the chocolate factory and do some tasting and shopping, and the Chocolate Spa where you can have what else but chocolate rubbed onto your body.

Living in a place like Hershey may be a bit of overload for the senses, or it may be like living in heaven, I’m not sure. What I do know is that at least once in my life, I’d like to visit.
