1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 1/2 cups hot (not boiled) milk
In large saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, vanilla and salt; mix well. Slowly stir in milk. Heat through, stirring occasionally. Do not boil. Store covered in refrigerator.
Crush some peppermint candies, lay out mini marshmallows, a can of whipped cream, and some flavored syrups for a do-it-yourself hot chocolate bar!

As a kind of tie-in for the entry below, I give you something I have to make everytime I watch the movie. It just can’t be helped.
The first time we watched it I got a huge craving for hot chocolate, and thankfully my husband was more than happy to pause the movie so I could make some for us.
